Founded by Brent Rourke, the business has grown from a lifelong love of woodworking into a trusted name for finely crafted, heirloom-quality pieces. Today, that legacy continues with the addition of his son Ben, who brings a new generation of skill, energy, and commitment to the craft.
Where It Started
Brent’s fascination with wood began as a teenager. He couldn’t wait for his next high school woodworking class, drawn in by the smell of fresh-cut pine and the satisfaction of shaping something by hand.
That early interest turned into a career rooted in craftsmanship. Brent continued to refine his skills and developed a deep appreciation for traditional techniques and timeless design. Influenced by Shaker craftsmanship, his work reflects clean lines, balance, and a focus on both form and function.
A Generational Craft
After years working in the trades, Ben found himself drawn back to the shop, working evenings and weekends alongside his father. What began as helping out became a clear decision to pursue craftsmanship full time and carry the work forward.
Ben brings a well-rounded skillset to the business, from hands-on craftsmanship to design, client experience, and team leadership. His attention to detail and passion for high-end work continues to elevate what B. Rourke delivers, while ensuring the business remains rooted in quality and care.
Together, Brent and Ben combine experience and fresh perspective, honouring tradition while continuing to evolve the craft.
