Shop Assistant / Cabinetry Team Member
B.Rourke Fine Cabinetry & Furniture | Bloomfield, NB
This isn’t just a job. It’s a craft.
At B.Rourke Fine Cabinetry & Furniture, we build high-end custom cabinetry and furniture with care, precision, and pride in the finished product. Every project is custom. Every detail matters.
We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that.
Not just someone to fill a position, but someone who wants to learn, contribute, work with their hands, and be part of creating exceptional work they can genuinely stand behind.
Whether you’re starting out and eager to learn a trade, or you’ve spent years working with your hands and want to stay active doing meaningful work, we care far more about attitude, work ethic, and pride in craftsmanship than we do about résumés.
If you’re the kind of person who notices what needs doing and jumps in without being asked, you’ll fit right in here.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work alongside experienced craftsmen in our production shop, gaining hands-on exposure to every stage of the process, from raw materials to finished cabinetry and furniture.
Day to day, you’ll:
- Assist with shop production and project preparation
- Work with tools and materials in a hands-on environment
- Support cabinetry and furniture assembly
- Help maintain an organized, efficient shop
- Learn new techniques and grow your skillset alongside experienced professionals
- Pitch in wherever needed as part of a collaborative team
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build real-world skills in a high-quality custom woodworking environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on and comfortable working with tools, or genuinely eager to learn
- Someone who takes initiative and doesn’t need constant direction
- A problem solver who enjoys figuring things out
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in doing things properly
- Reliable, adaptable, and team-focused
- Coachable, hardworking, and willing to learn
Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, carpentry, or construction is a bonus, but not required.
The right attitude will take you further here than any formal experience.
What We Offer
- Competitive wages
- 4-day work week
- A welcoming, tight-knit shop environment
- The opportunity to work alongside highly skilled craftsmen
- Meaningful, hands-on work you can be proud of
- A chance to learn and grow in a respected custom cabinetry shop
- Projects that are built to last, not mass-produced
We’re a collaborative shop where everyone pitches in when needed. Priorities can shift from day to day, so adaptability and a team-first attitude go a long way here.
If you’re tired of repetitive work and want to be part of a shop where craftsmanship, quality, and pride still matter, we’d love to hear from you.
